STATMENT of FACTS
Who we are:
Our church is a vital part of the great Advent Movement that started in the early 1840’s.
The Advent Movement has always been excited about Christ’s soon return. We look forward to that event
because we view God as love and long to live with Him for eternity. A core group of adventuresome
people from the Redding area Seventh-day Adventist churches had a vision of creating a strong presence in
the area of Shasta Lake City. They started by meeting in the city park, and through a series of miracles,
now own a beautiful church just north and east of town. Our greatest desire is that others learn to love the
God that we know and that they be ready to meet Him when He comes. We are aware that organized
religion has not always been a blessing for everyone. The love of God and love for others has not always
been central as it should be. It is our goal to create an environment where each attendee can learn, grow,
and experience God in a comfortable and accepting atmosphere that encourages freedom of thought and joy.
Our Mission: To make friends for eternity
Our Goal: To become the leading spiritual influence in the Shasta Lake City area by authentically
loving God and others.
Our Purposes:
- To worship and honor God
- To seek and save the lost
- To teach and grow believers
Our Priorities: - That each member be fully devoted to God
- That each member be involved in friendship evangelism
- That each member help create a church service designed for seekers rather than the already convinced
- That we continually evaluate everything we do by desired outcomes rather than comfortable patterns,
and that our methods to reach those desired outcomes be done in submission to our values, not our
memories
