Stressed out

Stress is not good for the immune system, do your best to stay calm and relaxed, yes a lot of us are out of work, this is a time when we can rely on each other, God really does care He will provide a way.
This is a time when we want our immune system as strong as it can be, do your best to avoid sugar, and if you would like someone to talk with or pray with send me a note.

Consider Jesus who is our example, He was faced with more difficulties and hardship then we will ever face, He put his Trust in the father and was dependent upon His ever-present help, sometimes He spent all night in prayer to the father for strength to endure the next day. see Lu 6:12, Rev 3:20-21

Saturday the Sabbath

Moses is the author of the book of Exodus (It has long been viewed by Jewish and Christian tradition that Moses was the author of Exodus) nothing short of a remarkable Man,
Raised in the palace by a Pharaoh (what an education he must have received) 1446 BC—in which the Exodus is likely to have occurred. Based on that date, many scholars believe that the Pharaoh of the Exodus may have been Amenhotep II, the grandfather of King Tut.

God revealed himself to Moses in a flaming bush that did not burn, giving him instructions to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. Moses’s conversation with God in Exodus 3 and 4 provides fascinating dialogue, and is just one of the many indications that Moses had a truly unique and intimate relationship with God.

The Bible tells us that the Lord knew Moses “face to face” (Deut. 34:10). And in Exodus we learn that “the Lord would speak to Moses, face to face, as one speaks to a friend” (Exodus 33:11). God also said of Moses, “I am pleased with you and I know you by name” (Exodus 33:17).

In Exodus 33:18-23 when Moses asks God to show him His glory, God answers, “You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” And then He allows Moses to see his back, but not his face.

How about that for a relationship with God! And that is not the only time he saw God, “Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, clear as the sky itself. But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank” (Exodus 24:9-11). Wow I would love to have been at that meal!

Moses seems to have died while he was still a vibrant man of about 120 years old. Regardless of his age, the Bible indicates that he was in good health. “Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone” (Deuteronomy 34:7).

And after all that he still seems to get around: “Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem” (Luke 9:30-31).

In Exodus 20:8 to 10 he tells us:
8. “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9. “Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10. but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant * or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.

Last I checked the word Saturday translated to Sabbath in over 100 languages, and is the seventh day, therefore we gather and worship on this day.
